Claude Castelluccia has a degree in computer engineering, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and a PhD in computer science. He also holds a habilitation in computer science from the Institut Polytechnique de Grenoble.
Since 2005, he is a research director at Inria Grenoble - Rhône-Alpes and a founding member of the Privatics team (models, architectures and tools for privacy protection in the information society). He is also a member of the AI, Data and Cybersecurity institutes of the University of Grenoble-Alpes (UGA). His research interests include digital privacy, analysis of surveillance and data manipulation systems, Internet protocols and computer security. Claude Castelluccia regularly collaborates with international institutions, especially European ones. He has chaired several international conferences and has directed more than 15 doctoral theses.
Since 2021, Claude Castelluccia is a member of the CNIL as a qualified personality for his knowledge of digital technology and issues related to individual liberties.
