Dr Nicholas Gervassis is Assistant Professor in Law (Technology and Data) in the School of Law. He read law at the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. He completed the LLM in Innovation, Technology and the Law at the University of Edinburgh, and he was awarded his PhD from the same institution. He joined Nottingham in September 2021, having previously held a lecturer post at the University of Plymouth.
Within the School, Nicholas currently holds the roles of Postgraduate Research Deputy Director and Visiting Scholar Co-ordinator. He is co-convenor of the School's Law & Technology and Legal Theory & Constitutional Law research groups. Nicholas is a member of the University of Nottingham Commercial Law Centre and of the Human Rights Law Centre, as well as an associate member of CybSec.
