Christian leads Orrick’s Cyber, Privacy & Data Innovation Group in Europe, advising global clients on the legal and regulatory challenges of artificial intelligence, and data law more generally.

He helps organizations navigate the cyber, privacy and AI implications of new products and services, ensuring compliance with international data protection standards and anticipating enforcement trends. Christian provides strategic guidance on the responsible development, deployment, and use of digital products, including risk assessments, internal and external data transfers, and product launches.

Christian is recommended for AI by Legal 500 Germany (2025) and ranked as a leading Data Privacy Practitioner in Germany by both Chambers and Legal 500 (both 2025).

He regularly publishes and gives seminars on the most current developments in relation to AI. Furthermore, Christian authors the international data transfers chapter in Germany’s leading GDPR commentary (Kühling/Buchner, 4th ed.) and co-authors the Corporate Privacy Handbook.
